Another interesting subjects related to Human Resources Development (HRD) is finding the best way to improve quality. There is a special course named Quality Improvement In Human Resources Development offered by Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) under the Department Of Professional Development And Continuing Education. The course main objectives are to guide students to understand the fundamental concepts, philosophies and techniques of creative continuous quality improvement thinking and to assist student applying and relate these concepts and etc HRD.
The course introduces as well as discusses the application of the fundamental concepts, philosophies, tools and techniques of creative continuous improvement thinking of quality improvement in the area of HRD particularly in training and development.
The course’s outline focuses on quality philosophies and principles, customer satisfaction, process improvement, employee involvement in quality improvement, focus and direction of quality improvement, benchmarking, simplicity, reengineering, leadership for quality improvement, support structure and organizational cultural and quality management.
For me the course should be quite interesting since the subject ‘quality’ is very sujective and related to human satisfaction. As a matter of fact, it is human perception that decide certain product or service possess any quality or not. More details and info about the course can be gathered via the link here.
